Algunos miembros de la Legio 501 Spanish Garrison vamos a participar en la Oxfam Trailwalker de 100km por equipos para recaudar dinero para el tercer mundo

¿Quienes somos?

La Legión 501 Spanish Garrison es un club de costuming, cuyas bases son tres :

1.- Promover la afición por Star Wars,
2.- Facilitar el acceso a los trajes de la saga y
3.- Contribuir con causas solidarias

Pues bien, la Legión 501 nació con el propósito de manifestar la pasión por Star Wars y se aprovechó este potencial para ayudar en causas solidaras, generalmente enfocadas a los más pequeños, desde el disfrute de una pasión como la de representar a los personajes del Lado Oscuro de la Saga Star Wars, con la más fiel de las calidades en nuestros trajes, nuestras réplicas.

Muy comúnmente se nos conoce como “Los chicos malos haciendo cosas buenas” y no está carente de razón, pues prácticamente todo cuanto hacemos va enfocado a ayudar a los niños más necesitados que, por mala fortuna de la vida, se hayan en situaciones delicadas. Siempre que podamos ayudar a mejorar sus calidades de vida, así como arrancar una sonrisa de donde es difícil obtenerla, nos llena de satisfacción.

Desde visitas a hospitales, pasando por desfiles solidarios, nuestras actividades son totalmente sin ánimo de lucro. Todo cuanto hacemos es desinteresado a título particular, para así poder ayudar al máximo a quien más lo necesita. Hasta la fecha, hemos colaborado con multitud de Ayuntamientos, grandes firmas, proveedores de servicios, ONGs, … haciendo de nuestra participación un reclamo importante, que nos diferencia de otros muchos clubs de esta índole.

En España, se fundó la Spanish Garrison en el año 2004 como subdivisión, para así poder cubrir más eficientemente la geografía española. Desde su creación, el número de miembros no ha parado de crecer, para llegar a ser los más de 250 miembros que somos hoy.

No hay día que no estemos orgullosos de pertenecer a este club, en el que el trasfondo de nuestra pasión se entremezcla con el bien que realizamos día a día, dando así el mejor de los resultados posibles, que es el de ayudar a los más necesitados.

About us?

The 501st Spanish Garrison is a costuming club, whose bases are :

1.- To Promote Interest in Star Wars,
2.- Facilitate the use of costumes
3.- Contribute to solidarity causes

Well, the Legion 501 was born with the purpose of expressing the passion for Star Wars and took advantage of this potential to help in solidarity causes, usually focused on the smallest, from the enjoyment of a passion like the characters on the Dark Side of the Star Wars Saga, with the most faithful of the qualities in our costumes, our replicas.

Very commonly we are known as "Bad guys doing good" and it is not without reason, because practically everything we do is focused on helping the most needy children, who due to bad luck in life, have been in delicate situations. Whenever we can help to improve their quality of life, as well as start a smile where it is difficult to obtain, we fill with satisfaction.

From visits to hospitals, through solidarity parades, our activities are totally non-profit. Everything we do is disinterested in private, so we can help the most who needs it the most. To date, we have collaborated with many municipalities, large firms, service providers, NGOs, ... making our participation an important claim, which sets us apart from many other clubs of this nature.

In Spain, the Spanish Garrison was founded in 2004 as a subdivision, in order to cover Spanish geography more efficiently. Since its creation, the number of members has not stopped growing, to become the more than 250 members that we are today.

There is no day that we are not proud to belong to this club, in which the background of our passion is intermingled with the good we perform day by day, giving the best possible results, that is to help the neediest .
