L´Institut Santiago Sobrequés de Girona va néixer l'any 1979, utilitzant encara les instal·lacions de l'escola Migdia. Enguany, per tant, se'n celebra el 40è aniversari i en el marc de les activitats que s'hi organitzen, s'ha cregut oportú participar en l'Oxfam trailwalker, ja que el nostre centre s'ha caracteritzat sempre per la implicació en activitats solidàries i alhora en el treball de l'educació física en el medi natural.
