6 people that hardly know each other thrown together on an intrepid adventure. What can possibly go wrong?

There will be no sleep, cats don’t sleep. There will be no tears, we are pretty sure cats can’t cry.  There will be blisters – lot’s of them, except for the supporters who look forward to sitting back relaxing and enjoying the entertainment of the evening!

So why are we doing this? For charity of course, the event raises vital funds for Oxfam – an independent, secular, non-government organization working for a future without poverty.

Then of course for bragging rights and things to get likes on Facebook and for snapchatting stuff, tweets and Instagram, how can we forget the gram!

So meet the team:

The Walkers

Charlotte (The Captain) - The original grumpy cat - She's a total mongrel (Swiss, Swedish, Belgian and little bit of crazy), but she bakes nice cakes so we all want/expect cakes.

Salvador (The Vice Captain) - Salvador (32), likes ridiculously long 100KM romantic walks through the Catalan countryside at night. A real catch.

Antonio (The Vice Vice Captain) – The Minorcan island boy – Dedicated to get the team to the coast of Sant Feliu de Guixols and keep the cats from drowning!

Daniel (Captain of Nicky Jam) – The latin cat who got lost and somehow happened to join the team.

The Supporters

Ger (The Driver) - Old and Irish , really old, very Irish, but he has a car so he's in, also, he lives on the route so knows the way, handy.

Zoe (The Co-pilot) - Belgian so the team are expecting waffles and beer. So is Ger. We all hope she can drive.

So all the reasons for people to donate are positive, but if you need more positives:

1. Pay up to see Charlotte’s feet bleed - Live tweets planned!
2. Take bets on how long before Ger drives Zoe nuts in the car. All proceeds go to charity!
3. Give to meet/be Salvador’s romantic encounter at the end of the 100K!

Long and short of it, it's a long walk with a short ending.

None of this makes sense.

6 personas que apenas se conocen lanzadas hacia una intrépida aventura. ¿Qué es lo peor que puede pasar?

Prometemos solemnemente que nadie dormirá ,los gatos no duermen. Prometemos que no habrán lagrimas, estamos casi seguros de que los gatos no lloran. Lo que si habrá… son ampollas ,muchas ampollas! Menos para los ayudantes que se relajarán y divertirán mientras disfrutan del espectáculo nocturno.

¿Que porque estamos haciendo esto? Pues para la caridad, el evento es para recaudar fondos vitales para Intermón Oxfam, una organización independiente, laica  y no gubernamental que trabaja con el objetivo de acabar con la pobreza en el mundo.

Pero también por el derecho sagrado de regocijarnos en Facebook y Twitter, Snapchatearlo todo, y también subir a Instagram (que nadie se olvide del gram!)… para probar a nuestros nietos que estuvimos allí!

Los Caminantes:

Charlotte (Capitán): La Grumpy Cat original. Es una mezcla total (suiza y belga y encima se hace la sueca…) y es buena haciendo pasteles así que exigimos/esperamos pastelitos.

Salvador (Vice Capitán): A Salvador (32), le gustan las caminatas románticas y ridículamente largas de 100 Km a través del campo catalán. Es un buen partido.

Antonio (Vice-Vice Capitán): El chico de Menorca. Dedicado a que su equipo llegue a la costa de Sant Feliu de Guixols y mantener los gatos secos.

Daniel (Capitán de Nicky Jam): El gato latino que caminara hasta el amanecer. 

Los ayudantes:

Ger (El Conductor): Viejo e irlandés … muy viejo … y muy irlandés… pero el coche es suyo y además como vive por allí se sabe el camino lo cual es muy útil. 

Zoe (La Co-Piloto): Como es belga, el equipo esperara gofres y cerveza. Y Ger también así que esperemos que sepa conducir.

Todas las razones para hacer una donación son positivas pero por si necesitáis mas:

3.      Haced apuestas sobre cuánto tiempo aguantara Zoe a Ger antes de volverse loca. Todos los beneficios irán a una causa benéfica.

Resumiendo, es una caminata larga con un final corto.

Nada de todo esto tiene sentido.
